A spokesperson for the Women’s National Basketball Association has announced that social distancing protocols put in place to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, do not apply to WNBA events because the crowds aren’t big enough.
Requesting to remain anonymous, the spokesperson remarked, “Given the sparse attendance at our games, there’s no need to tell everyone to spread out. That happens automatically.”
“The WNBA is proud of the important role we’re playing in combating this dreadful disease,” she continued. “The public’s general lack of interest in women’s basketball is our greatest asset. It allows us to provide safe, live sporting events to several people without changing anything! The crowds at WNBA games look the same as they did before the Wuhan virus appeared!”
I attempted to get reactions from some WNBA fans but I couldn’t find any.

Testing, testing.
I want to see whether my comment shows up as “Mrs McMommy” or “Seymore Butts.”
McMommy.
Your WordPress account is valid. And supremely powerful…
Yes! My first thought before I clicked was “what crowds?”
Agree with Bee comment.
You’re really embracing the unsafe- ness.
Had to double-check to make sure I was at JohnBranyan.com and not The Babylon Bee … well played, sir! 😎
I’m warming up for The Bee. Hoping to expand into new territory.
Thanks for noticing.
