Atheism is good.

Atheism has no tenants, beliefs or ideas.

But boy is atheism good!

*drags a saddle into the room*

This horse is clearly a good thing. This is borne out by all statistics. But since this horse has no bones, organs or skin itself, it needs to be filled with other parts that make up a good horse.

Would you buy a horse that required you to add horse to it?

Why not just go buy an actual horse?

Here’s a fun fact: All horses are atheists.

If the process of becoming atheist is challenging stupid ideas for what they are…

…how come all horses are atheists?

Horses never challenge stupid ideas.

Because a horse has no tenants, beliefs or ideas itself.

It has nothing with which to challenge stupid ideas!

Which is probably why horses don’t write blogs.

Too bad human atheists don’t have any horse-sense.

  1. To say “atheism has no tenants, beliefs, or ideas itself, so it needs to be filled out by other ideas” is a very confusing statement to me… If thespartanatheist is here, I would love to have it explained more. I am not being hostile, but I genuinely am trying to understand your position. Is not claiming the non-existence of God a belief? In my philosophy class (at a normal community college lead by an agnostic professor) the statement “God does not exist” required evidence in just the same way as the statement “God exists” did. The two were treated as contrary, yet equal statements. They were treated as different beliefs. We looked at them, talked about them, and argued for both of them. But in the end, they were still both beliefs… Where did I go wrong?
