If you’re still uncertain about the devastating effects of sending innocent children into the government education system, notice that the church is now saturated with people who genuinely believe the government should not legislate morality.
Wait…what? You’re one of those people? This is going to shock you, but the Bible says otherwise.
(Romans 13:1) Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves…For he is God’s servant to do you good.
Authorities are God’s servants to ‘do you good.’ Let me be specific.
By keeping the practice of abortion legal, the authorities in America are FAILING in their God-given responsibility to ‘do good’ for unborn babies. Government school indoctrinates kids with the belief that killing a baby is a decision for the baby’s mother to make. Christians (like you) absorbed this belief in school and it replaced everything you learned in Sunday School (which wasn’t much).
So…the government HAS LEGISLATED MORALITY by legalizing murder of infants AND simultaneously used the school system to teach you that THE GOVERNMENT SHOULDN’T LEGISLATE MORALITY. At the same time, your pastor told you not to shove your religion down anyone’s throat but be willing, in love, to swallow other religious teachings. The result is a church full of pagans who think following Jesus means tolerating every kind of depraved wickedness.
Time to home school the children you care about. Keep sending those you hate to the government.

John I know you are a huge home school proponent, but not everyone is qualified to teach at any level and home schooling is not the only solution. There is also the option of Christian school. We have sent all of our kids to a Christian school and it has been wonderful. I wish you would include this as an option when you write this type of post.
All law is aimed at some good result. Therefore, all law legislates morality. The question becomes, what is good? Will our laws help the flourishing of human beings or will it only help the powerful?
