Here we go, boys and girls!

Just a few second ago, I suggested that modesty was a good idea and most people agreed with me because most people are not raging lunatics. However, there were some folks who couldn’t believe my audacity. They were quite annoyed by the suggestion that girls and boys are BOTH responsible for their behavior.

Despite my repeatedly saying that men are responsible for controlling themselves, the Pro-Indecency people kept telling me that no matter what a woman wears, she is not giving men permission to abuse her. In other words, “Just because someone is openly sexual, doesn’t mean they want to be sexual with you.”

I know it seems reasonable to your depraved brain, but being ‘openly sexual’ is foolish and dangerous. When you write your phone number on the bathroom wall, you shouldn’t be surprised when you start getting calls from perverts. The problem with ‘open’ sexuality is you don’t know who is wandering around out there in the open.

“John, you jerk! Women are sexually assaulted even WHEN THEY DRESS MODESTLY!!!”

Yes. I know. That doesn’t make your case for dressing like a slut any stronger. Some people die in car crashes even when they wear a seatbelt but that doesn’t make it a good idea to be naked on the hood of the car at rush hour.

I’m suspicious that your constant harping about men ‘controlling themselves’ is a smokescreen. You don’t want men to control themselves. You want to control men. You want to pick and choose who responds to the unfiltered signals you send into the public. You want to dress like a whore and forbid me from using that word to describe you. Well, guess what? You don’t have the power to manage the thoughts of other people.

That’s why I suggested, just a few seconds ago, that you behave modestly. It’s for your own good, not mine. If you would like to let me know that you are still missing my point, leave a comment below telling me that boys are responsible for controlling themselves.

“Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”

(Luke 7:47)

  1. AMEN JOHN BRANYON!!! AMEN!!! A my Mom used to say “The responsibility lies with both parties. If you want to be treated like a lady then act like it.”

No, men don’t have the right to be abusive. But women shouldn’t ever forget that men are visual and it’s our responsibility not to dress in a manner that could cause them to sin. So while it may cost me someone’s respect, I feel that men and women need to treat each other respectfully and that comes with responsibilities on the parts of our own selves. So women, stop complaining that it’s their fault. Woman up! Take a look at the mirror first and make sure you’re not the one initiating the undesired results.

    Just my two cents…
